Florida Gov. Fights to End Ban on Smokeable Medical Marijuana

Florida’s new governor, Ron DeSantis, isn’t wasting any time when it comes to giving medical marijuana patients what they want. DeSantis supports arguments that banning smokeable forms of the medicine is wrong. He’s said that if the state’s lawmakers fail to revise the current law, his office will.

DeSantis said that his office would drop appeals seeking to continue the ban on smokeable marijuana, the Washington Examiner reports. The governor’s office would permit a previous judge’s ruling that banning smokeable marijuana is unconstitutional to stand. DeSantis realizes that medical marijuana helps people, in all forms of the medicine.

DeSantis said, “I want people to have their suffering relieved. This law isn’t up to snuff.”
