New Florida Medical Marijuana Cultivator Receives Approval

Plants of Ruskin will do business as AltMed Florida. The cultivation facility is located in Apollo Beach. Plants of Ruskin is permitted to produce full spectrum, low-THC cannabis that complies with Florida regulations.

CEO of AltMed Florida, John Tipton said via press release, “We have worked diligently to build what we believe will be the most advanced indoor cultivation facility in Florida, and one of the finest in the country. We are completing construction of our 50,000-square-foot phase-1 now. We will start seeding immediately, commencing production of our comprehensive portfolio of medical cannabis products. Phase-2 and phase-3, with construction starting next year, will expand our facility to 150,000 square feet.”

AltMed Enterprises CEO Michael Smullen said, “AltMed Enterprises was born in Florida and through years of research and the diligent work of our expert team we have developed a pipeline of next-generation medical cannabis products in Arizona. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to provide access to these proven products, through AltMed Florida, to Florida patients.”

AltMed produces the product line MüV™. As the company gets its footing in Florida, it plans to expand to at least six dispensaries on both Florida costs by the end of next year. Products should starting becoming available in Florida in early 2018.
