Medical Marijuana Retail Store Outlet Planned for Fort Lauderdale

A new medical marijuana dispensary in Fort Lauderdale is being planned. Liberty Health Sciences has plans to open a dispensary location across the street from Holy Cross Hospital. It’ll be a while before the shop opens as it must obtain necessary approvals first.

The retail outlet allows state-approved patients to purchase vape pens, tinctures and other state-approved products, according to Miami Herald. Liberty Health Sciences is one of only a dozen state-licensed medical marijuana distributors and cultivators in the state. The potential South Florida location would help provide medicine to an area lacking necessary dispensaries.

In a press release, Liberty Health Sciences said, “Liberty has expanded its delivery offering to service South Florida, ensuring patients in the region have convenient access to its high-quality, clean and safe pharmaceutical grade medical cannabis.”

Another location is expected to open in The Village in Central Florida as well.
