Willie Nelson’s marijuana company, Willie’s Reserve, will be rolling out its first CBD product in September. The line will be called Willie’s Remedy, and the first product will be a CBD-infused coffee.
After brewing, each 8-oz serving of the whole-bean coffee will have about 5mg of CBD, Culture Map reports. The hemp used for the coffee will be organically grown in the U.S.
Nelson said, “It’s two of my favorites, together in the perfect combination. Like coffee, cannabis is a plant that works for me.”
Willie’s Remedy will launch in Colorado and then roll out into other marijuana states.
Nelson continued, “Hemp production was suppressed in America because hemp was competitive to too many industries. The country probably missed some opportunity during hemp prohibition. But another way to look at it is that hemp is the answer to [a] huge range of challenges we’re facing right now.”
