Tampa Medical Marijuana Dispensary Set to Open Next Week

Trulieve plans to have several dispensaries throughout the state of Florida, and its newest location in Tampa may open as soon as this week. It is located on North Dale Mabry Highway. Trulieve already has dispensaries open in Clearwater and Tallahassee.

Tampa residents aren’t going without their medicine though; they’re getting home delivery, reports WUSF News. The new brick-and-mortar dispensary takes away the delivery fees patients are paying currently. They’ll also have more access to educational material.

Kim Rivers, Trulieve CEO, says, “If a patient has questions about how a particular product works, or is having issues with a particular product, they have the ability to come in and have a face-to-face conversation with our patient consultants.”

Rivers also said, “For us to have a home base [in areas like Tampa] to be able to deliver from, we’ll be able to make more deliveries in the surrounding area on a more regular basis, and the wait time for deliveries will be much shorter.”

Dispensaries are planned in Bradenton, Miami, St. Petersburg, and Pensacola. Construction on the Bradenton location will begin soon, and they hope to be open in March.
